Yes, and No, the ability to change from one platform to the other exists, but it will require a change in hardware firmware before utilizing it with the other product. This firmware update can only be performed at our home office and certain authorized installation partners. Please contact us if you thinking about switching.

Yes, the hardware for our platforms is only functional when utilized with one of our apps. You must be an active subscriber to either CheckBAC or SOBRDRIVE for the equipment to work properly.

Our list of Installers is rapidly expanding, and we may have an installer close by. We are also pretty successful at finding you a place to install if we don't have one already (It may just take a few more days). CheckBAC is our “Always On” platform. This requires you to take a BAC test every time you want to start your vehicle. SOBRDRIVE is our "Voluntary" platform. This allows you to choose when it is on, and when it is off, and only requires a BAC test when YOU turn it on.

Breathalyzers marked with this designation appear on the Department of Transportation (DOT) Conforming Product list for evidential breath testing devices. This certification just speaks to the quality of the product, its performance has been laboratory certified, meeting or exceeding Department of Transportation performance standards.
